About the program
UWFM–Cheyenne is a three-year, full-spectrum family medicine residency and the only residency in Cheyenne, so residents work directly with attendings across specialties. The curriculum combines family medicine inpatient service, maternal-newborn care, pediatrics, emergency medicine, ICU/CCU, and surgery with VA-based rotations and a Wyoming rural/continuity clinic month. PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents choose from many electives, including rural sites such as Saratoga, Wheatland, and Torrington. International medicine opportunities are also available.
