How groups work
These are unmanaged groups, created for students' convenience. They are not supervised, staffed or endorsed by USMLE WEB, NBME, the FSMB, ECFMG or any school. Joining records your selected exam so you can find people at the same stage. It does not publish your identity or contact details, and the website never shows a member list.
How people behave in a group
Be courteous and constructive. Study groups work when members treat each other as colleagues in training: encourage, explain and share, and disagree politely.
Protect privacy. Do not ask for or share someone's personal details, exam results, or contact information without consent.
Respect exam security. Never share, request or discuss actual exam content. Doing so violates exam rules and can end your candidacy.
No harassment, discrimination, solicitation or spam. Do not advertise paid services, and do not pressure anyone.
Remember you are among strangers. Treat advice from other members as peer opinion, not professional or official guidance. Check requirements with the official sources.
Take care of one another. If someone seems in distress, encourage them to contact a trusted person or professional support.
Moderators
Each group can have one student moderator, elected by its members. A moderator is a volunteer, not an employee or an official. A moderator can post a short notice for the group and can step down at any time. A student can moderate only the group they are in. If a group has no moderator, any member can start a poll, and members can nominate anyone in the group, including themselves. The group page explains the poll.
If something goes wrong
Members can report abuse from their group page. The report is emailed to the site administrator, who can remove a moderator or ban a user from the website. Community discussions remain moderated under the community guidelines .
