About the program
Founded in 1978, this 7-7-7 ACGME family medicine program with an osteopathic recognition track is based at the Oscar Treat Turner Family Medicine Center on CMMC's Lewiston campus, with continuity clinics in Rumford and student care at Bates College. As the only residency in its hospital, it offers a Clinic First 2x2 block schedule, personalized education plans, addiction and sports medicine, OMM, integrative medicine, and a wilderness and international medicine program. A hub-and-spoke model through the MERGE Collaborative exposes all residents to rural medicine.
