About the program
Vanderbilt's three-year dermatology residency trains residents at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, the Nashville VA Medical Center, and Nashville General Hospital (outpatient). Dermatopathology and procedural dermatology are embedded in the department, with twice-weekly glass slide sessions, Mohs and excisional surgery blocks, laser and cosmetic training, and protected inpatient consult blocks. Residents keep their own continuity clinic panel from the first week, see subspecialty clinics such as cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and pigmented lesion clinics, and have elective time for research or international rotations.
