About the program
MetroHealth's dermatology residency is built almost entirely around resident-driven continuity clinics, with residents following their own patients through clinic, dermatopathology review, and surgery. Each resident completes five months of consult service, covers Cleveland's only burn unit, and gains weekly exposure to pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and dermatopathology, plus Mohs surgery, vulvar and skin of color clinics, patch testing, and cosmetic procedures. Didactics run daily with Thursday half-day sessions, twice-monthly journal clubs, city-wide grand rounds, and financial support for research.
